We’d like to explain what to expect when you hire a professional wedding photographer through this Wedding photography FAQs.
Some clients have asked similar questions thus we’d like to set the record straight when it comes to knowing what to ask from us on your wedding day.

  • High resolution images always! and no watermarks. You have hired us for our service, it doesn’t make sense for us not to give you the best images in high resolution quality. Watermaks? So lame!
    Each package specifies the number of photos you will receive. Again, in high resolution. If we end up with a few more images than promised, you get those too. No added cost.
  • Which file format do you shoot? You have probably heard professional photographers only shoot RAW files. That is correct. We then edit them and convert them to JPG so they can be viewed and opened by all kinds of software and platforms.
  • Do I get the RAW files? Raw files, are unedited, can’t be opened by some image viewers and big. You don’t want RAW files.
  • Can I have all the pictures you took on my wedding? No, but we are actually doing you a favor here. Editing and selecting the best images is probably the hardest part of our work. In this process we delete duplicates, out of focus images, eyes closed…
  • A deposit fee? Why? Is it refundable? People tend to get married in the spring/summer season. Sometimes even on the same day. We, therefore, find ourselves turning down clients. If you cancel on us, we not only lose you as a client, but those who we turned down for you. Ouch!
  • When do we pay the photographer? The most common practice is to do so on the wedding day, before things start to get crazy.
  • Assistants and second shooters. So far we have managed fine with one shooter unless you have planned simultaneous events or you specifically ask for a second shooter. There will be an extra charge for that.
  • Contract, where is my contract?! As per law, emails and phone messages constitute a contract in itself. We have never had the need to write or sign one.
  • How long until we receive the photos? The editing is a very important part of the photographic process. We need to go through 500 to 2.500 images per wedding, select and color correct, retouch, etc… Give us around 4 weeks.
  • Sharing on social media. You are welcome to share your images on social media, of course. But please, credit Fotografia Sitges so everyone knows how good we are and how happy you are with the result. We might ask your permission to share a couple images on Instagram or Facebook, or even publish a portfolio on our website. You can say no, we will be sad but your satisfaction is important to us.
  • Do I need to feed the photographer? That’s up to you really. In the event of a full day wedding, we do need something to endure the day. Our work will be easier if we are 100%.
  • Do you offer services abroad? Absolutely! We love traveling as much as you do. We’ll go anywhere you request but we will have to add accommodation and travel expenses.
